Be who you needed when you were growing up!

Your presence Now can help change the trajectory of a young life forever.

Life School-Oak Cliff campus has the biggest need right now for mentors to serve students who are considered to be at risk of not graduating from high school. So many children need a positive influence in their lives. You will be matched with an At-Risk student who may be living in poverty, struggling with addiction, without a role model, suffering from trauma, homeless, hungry, pregnant or more. Training will be provided and you will be asked to connect with your student for one hour a week for 8 months.

We would love to have members of the Chic Network as mentors for our students.

HOW TO BECOME A MENTOR:

  1. The first step is to complete the volunteer application. You can click HERE for the application.

  2. Click the Become A Mentor link.

  3. After you complete the application, you will be contacted by Mentors Care for information to complete your background check and training.

Please contact Dietra Benton with any questions or concerns. Once you have signed up be sure to let her know to gain credit toward your C.A.R.E.S advocate pin.

We can’t wait to hear the stories of how you helped a young graduate succeed!

And as a way to honor your donation you will earn C.A.R.E.S. status and receive a pin to proudly display on your badge, showcasing your commitment to making a difference in your community.
